My name is Alexander Martinez. I'm 21 years old, currently a senior studying finance, and I'm building a career in financial planning and advisory services.
I hold the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certification and have passed the Series 65, the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination.
Why I Built This Site
I'm young and early in my career. I haven't spent 20 years managing portfolios or advising clients. But what I can offer is genuine curiosity, a disciplined approach to learning, and the initiative to build something useful before anyone asked me to.
Most people my age aren't thinking about retirement or long-term savings yet. I find these topics genuinely interesting, not because they're exciting on the surface, but because the choices people make with these tools have an enormous impact on their financial lives. A 25-year-old who understands the difference between a Traditional and Roth 401(k) and chooses well early could be hundreds of thousands of dollars better off by retirement. That kind of leverage is what drew me to this field.
I built this site to organize what I've learned and share it in a way that's actually useful. For me, it's more than coursework. It's the first real step on the path I'm building toward.
What I'm Working Toward
My long-term goal is to build a career in financial planning, whether that means joining an established firm or eventually running my own practice. I'm focused on retirement planning and tax-advantaged savings because that's where clear, accessible guidance is most needed and hardest to find. Down the road, I plan to pursue the CFP® certification, the standard for comprehensive financial planning, to deepen the expertise behind everything I share here.
